Le ravissement de Frank N. Stein prolonga el diálogo con el cine al evocar La novia de Frankenstein (James Whale. Bride of Frankenstein, 1935): utilizando imágenes del filme en cuestión, Schwizgebel aplica un tratamiento de color para apropiarse de su secuencias clave, el grito de terror de una rediviva Elsa Lanchester al encontrarse de frente con el torturado rostro del Monstruo-Karloff.
 

Esta secuencia cierra un largo recorrido desde el Inframundo: una larguísima secuencia de ciclos, tan brumosa como el despertar a la conciencia, atravesando cien veces la misma habitación como si cruzáramos de vuelta la laguna Estigia.
La novia rechaza su abrazo y grita: desde el rostro consternado del Monstruo, la fuga se repite marcha atrás, abriéndose campo hasta superar el límite mismo del fotograma y llegar hasta el espectador, que repentinamente despierta y toma conciencia de su propia actividad escópica.

The creating of life and the emergence of a feeling of love go to make up the themes of "The ravishing of Franc N. Stein". They are represented by the film's gradual construction of an increasingly realist image. This image is built up by the means of a long tracking shot suggestive of a person walking, likewise by more and more complex and exact background through which he moves, and which depicts his evolution to the point where he can be regarded as a human being. Finally a revereshot establishes the completed image: the ravishing of Franc N. Stein in the presence of his fiancée.
